OPEN HOUSE

Saint Victor’s Preschool held it’s 4th Annual Open house this past Thursday, October 16th. Our classroom doors were opened to parents and they were invited to look around and see what their children have been creating here at preschool. Sweet treats were offered to the parents as they made their way around they classroom, looking at the different creative areas, taking home all their child’s artwork, and speaking to their child’s teacher. We had such a wonderful open house. A BIG thank you to all who came out to open house!

Meet Blue!

Saint Victor’s preschool has a new friend! His name is “Blue” and he is our new preschool pet parakeet. Blue was donated at the beginning of the school year and has been keeping the children and teachers entertained ever since! Having a classroom pet teaches the children many valuable lessons and responsibilities such as – feeding Blue daily and making sure he is well fed, comfortable and clean! We love our Blue!

Summer Camp – Week 6- All About Sports!

Our 6th week of summer camp was all about sports! We spoke with the children about all different types of sports including baseball, basketball, and football.  The teachers emphasized that healthy eating habits along with plenty of exercise from playing sports keeps you super healthy. Team sports are also great for building confidence and getting your child out and about.

The highlight of the week was our summer camp field trip to Dodger Stadium! The teachers, children and parent volunteers were given a tour of the stadium — we were able to visit the field, the dugout, and almost everywhere in between! Everyone has an amazing time! Go Dodgers!

Summer Camp – Week 1- Cooking

Welcome to the first week of Saint Victor’s Preschool Summer camp! The theme of our inaugural week is cooking. This week the children made a fresh fruit salad, blended their very own fruit smoothie and baked blueberry muffins! The teachers also talked to the children about healthy eating and getting a lot of outdoor exercise and play to keep our bodies healthy. We also gave the children examples of healthy food choices and not so healthy food choices.

For our field trip of the week,  the entire preschool took a walk to our neighborhood Trader Joe’s store. We were given a tour of the entire store as well as the back area. The children had a wonderful time! A BIG thank you to the Trader Joe’s on Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood.
