Tis the season of giving! Our Saint Victor’s preschool annual Christmas Bake sale happened this past Sunday December 10th. All of the sweet treats that were made on family bake night were up for sale at our Christmas bake sale!

Saint Victor’s preschool set up our baked goods tables in front of and around Saint Victor parish. The preschoolers, their parents and teachers all donated time to selling treats for the preschool!

Lots of fun and laughter went to a great cause! A BIG THANK YOU to the families that spent their Sunday morning to afternoon with us!!!

 

 

 

 

We love baking and Christmas! Put the two together for a great cause and what do you get? Why our Annual Family Bake night of course!!!

Saint Victor’s preschool parents, teachers and preschoolers came to preschool on a Thursday night to bake sweets for the preschool’s Annual Christmas Bake Sale the following Sunday.

We baked brownies, rice krispy treats, blondies, chocolate cake, and many more sweets! What a wonderful sight to see — families baking together, children laughing and lots of sprinkles and sugar everywhere!

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what we are most thankful for. Here at Saint Victor’s Preschool we are thankful for our dedicated and hard working teachers, our supportive and amazing parents and lastly for our preschoolers! They bring us so much joy and we are honored and blessed for the opportunity to teach them and watch them grow!

We celebrated Thanksgiving with our annual Thanksgiving Show followed by our Thanksgiving Feast! A BIG thank you to all the families who participated and  contributed to our feast!!

We LOVE everything Halloween at Saint Victor’s Preschool — the spider webs, the jack-o-lanterns, little witches, ghosts, princesses, super heroes and of course the treats! To celebrate the holiday we put on our annual Halloween Show and trick-or-treat parade around the preschool!

Our Halloween show included songs about pumpkins, haunted houses and of course a trick-or-treat song! Afterwards our preschoolers went trick-or-treating around our parade route and were able to show off their one-of-a-kind Halloween costumes!

Our potluck party is always a hit with delightfully spooky treats all around! A BIG Thank you to all our fantastic parents that dressed in costume and passed out treats on the parade route!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

October has arrived and that can only mean one thing — our annual trip to the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch!!

On a particularly warm Friday morning, the preschoolers of Saint Victor’s Preschool made their way to Culver City — to visit the Mr. Bones pumpkin patch! There was a hay maze, a giant bounce house, a petting zoo and pony rides!

The children were all given a baby pumpkin to take home! We had an amazing day at the pumpkin patch! A BIG thank you to all the wonderful parents that were able to join us at the pumpkin patch — we love our parent volunteers!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This week the children learned about different types of animals that can be found in a zoo! We talked about snakes, monkeys, and cheetahs – just to name a few.  To end or “Zoo Animals” week — we decided to get out of the classroom and visit the Los Angeles Zoo to see some animals up close!

The day was warm but the children were beyond excited to be at the zoo! We saw flamingos, elephants, lions, giraffes, crocodiles, gorillas and so many more!

This week was all about Cooking! But before we started our cooking activities, we decided to walk down the street to our local Trader Joe’s store for a tour! The walking field trip began with the children, teachers and parent volunteers walking through the neighborhood with our STOP! signs for safety along the way. Those signs came in handy at the busier intersections.

Once we arrived, the super friendly Trader Joe’s staff gave the preschoolers , teachers and parents a behind the scenes look at the store as well as the stock room! Each child was given a Trader Joe’s goodie bag to take home. Just another reason why Trader Joe’s is our favorite neighborhood grocery store!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For our first field trip of the summer — Saint Victor’s Preschool headed to the Aquarium of the Pacific to learn more about sea animals! What better way to illustrate the beauty of sea life than witnessing it in person at the aquarium!

The children, teachers and parent volunteers had an amazing time observing all the sea life of the Pacific ocean! We saw jellyfish, sharks, spider crabs, frogs and so much more! There is so much to see and so many hands on exhibits available that we were unable to make it to all of them. We’ll definitely be back soon!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our 2016/2017 school year was full of learning, new experiences and fun! As this year comes to a close, me must say farewell to our children moving on to Kindergarten in the Fall. To celebrate all that our wonderful pre-k children have achieved this year — we decided to throw an Aloha Luau!

The children sang farewell songs and performed a Hawaiian dance for their families! Afterward cake was served and everyone said their farewells.

Saint Victor’s Preschool loves and appreciates all the hardworking dads out there. On the morning of June 15th, we held our annual Donuts with dad morning! Fresh coffee and yummy donuts were available for dads to enjoy with their child/children as an early Father’s day treat!
